Cornwall has the highly regarded reputation for having the best and the most beautiful beaches in England. Cornwall offers a variety of quality of beaches and coves, from busy family beaches and popular water sports venues to beaches of the other extreme, being quiet little suntraps tucked away under the bold Cornish cliffs.

Dogs are permitted on some beaches, though do be aware and obey the beaches rules where applicable, they are there to ensure everyone’s health and welfare.

Mounts Bay has been described as one the most beautiful bays in the world. The clean beaches here offer safe bathing, with wonderful views to the Lizard Peninsula and Land's End in the other direction. There are many lovely walks in the area, both coastal and inland.
Newquay is the renowned home of British Surfing and the British Surfing Association.
It has achieved its renown due to the wide variety of surf available; with beaches around here and the Atlantic Coast of Cornwall being among the finest in Western Europe. Its reputation is held high also by the type of nightlife it also provides. Newquay is spoilt with several of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall, with Fistral beach being the best and most famous beach in Britain, where all the big surfing and water sport competitions are held throughout the year. It is very popular with surfers of all abilities, with several areas kept for swimmers alone. All of Newquay's beaches are popular with families.
3 Miles north of Newquay is Watergate Bay, one of Cornwall's more spectacular rural beaches. It’s a beautiful 2 miles of golden sands at low tide, backed by 300 foot cliffs. It is a fantastic beach for surfers of all abilities, but should you require some expertise or lessons in other water sports activities, Watergate’s Extreme Academy will hold the answers.
